Made by Penny Jayne:
To start this project I cast the Zuri Seahorse Realm mould with the magical A1 Iron, then kept it wet for a few days till they had rusted enough. I also made some shells using some Prima and Katy Sue Design moulds. These were mostly cast with A1 base LP01 but a few were made with Hearty Air dry clay. I then coloured them with Crafters Companion Spectrum Noir Desert Aqua pen. The background of the canvas was stamped repeatedly with a Hunkydory stamp using Wow ink then sprinkled with a mix of Nuvo Crystal clear and Ocean Sparkle embossing powders.
I heat set this then stamped a few areas with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Peeled Paint and sprayed it with Lindys Starburst Tibetan Poppy Teal. When this was dry I used parts of a Studio Light stamp from their grunge range and stamped areas with Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon. I cut some letters out of kraft card with a Tonic alphabet die and used some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress ink on them. The letters were adhered using some Tonic glue but the rest was all securely stuck on with Amsterdam Extra Heavy Gel Medium. I then used some Finnabair Patina Green Wax to highlight the detail on the Seahorses.
